Scholarship Winner Starts Flying!

With the winter snow melting and the skies opening up to the beautiful blue color that aviators love, Melissa Huffman, our Gift Of Flight Scholarship winner has finally started her flight lessons.

 

Melissa had previously flown a little over 10 hours before the winter caught up to her.  Now with spring around the corner, we are here to cheer her on this wonderful adventure.

Melissa has flown at least twice and says:

“This week both lessons we did take-off’s and landing’s to prepare me for solo-ing :] And we also worked on slips”

She will need to keep on eye on the airspeed during base and final approach, but with a bit more practice she’ll be doing it flawlessly!

Way to go, Melissa!
